It will be interesting to see if Metro Bank can turn it around. The neo banks have far fewer overheads and I don’t see how they can compete

It’ll be a real shame to see Metro go. They seemed to have lost their way and it feels like they are scrambling now.

They always had the opportunity to fall back on being the challenger and the innovator. I get the feeling that the last four-five years of innovation has completely blindsided them.
